Dear OWTF friends,

OWASP is running a cool initiative for uni students this winter!
Our 4 x OWTF Winter Code ideas have been pushed to the OWASP wiki:
NOTE: You can apply for several projects PLUS (recommended) GSoC
"unit/functional tests and stability fixes" (for GSoC participants)
- Testing Framework Improvements
- Health Monitor
- Tool utilities module
- Installation Improvements and Package manager

Details on the program and how to apply can be found here (and in the
email trail below!):

1st Deadline: 15th September 2014
2nd Deadline: 15th October 2014

We are trying to release OWTF "Lionheart" in September so all help
fixing bugs, testing, improving documentation, etc. is little. Therefore
please take into account that:
1) We will *always* favour candidates that send pull requests: So please
get involved ASAP
HINT: Look at simple issues here and get started! -
WARNING: We are using this branch for development! :) -

2) GSoC 2014 participants are encouraged to do the following:
IMPORTANT: Ensure the project is 100% complete, ensure project quality
is optimal, the code is thoroughly tested, bugs are fixed, comments are
in Sphinx format (http://sphinx-doc.org/), documentation is on
SUGGESTION: Please consider an OWCS project to create functional and/or
unit tests for your GSoC project as well as perhaps minor improvements
such as stability and bug fixing.

Any questions?
Join us on IRC (#owtf on freenode), Skype (patx00), or email me directly :)

Thank you very much for considering to join us!

This is a kind reminder that the first deadline for OWASP Winter Code
Sprint is in one month, at 15 September 2014, with the second deadline
being one month later at 15 October 2014.

If you have academic contacts who want to participate they can find more
information in the wiki page[1], there is also a Google group for
general questions[2] and of course I'm available for any information.

The participating students have to fill this form[3] in order to apply.
