Fellow Experts/Enthusiasts,

I would like to take this opportunity to formally introduce myself and kick-off communication for the OWASP MDM project as part of the OWASP Mobile Security initiative. First of all, Thanks to each and every one of you who responded to my email and volunteered to contribute towards this project.

I have been involved in some MDM related security work and research in the past and hence took the opportunity to contribute what I have learned and still learning to the wider community by means of OWASP.
Though, I claim no expertise in the field I believe I have sufficient information in hand that I would like to share with the community, just as you all have. As you all are aware and probably experts in your own respect, there is a wide variety of things that can be covered around this topic. However, the challenge is to identify the areas that cab be covered as part of OWASP initiative to the appropriate audience. Hence, I have started out by compiling a document of some of the ideas that I have, that I believe would be good start for OWASP members and the wider community (pentesters, MDM consumers, MDM vendors etc).

PS: All of these areas are not my areas of expertise, but merely some of the areas that I believe could be addressed as part of OWASP Mobile Security initiatives.

Please take a moment to introduce yourself to this thread and propose new agendas, ideas, areas to cover or even revamp the whole document that I have put together so that we can work as a team on this project. I have currently put together the proposed agenda and also included myself as a contributor/volunteer for some of those. Feel free to take ownership of areas, or volunteer as you feel comfortable.
