I'm happy for you to take this on, maybe I can help out as and when suits 
you. My first skill and greatest experience is in software performance and 
performance testing so I have some experience in how to overload 
applications :-)

The application level DoS is something I can take a shot at, and
I've not yet volunteered for anything else yet.  I should be able to
leverage some other existing work I've done on the subject.
