The Silicon Valley ISSA Chapter is again offering a CISSP Review Class. This
class will be provided on six consecutive Monday evenings, November 6
through December 11, 2006. The classes will run from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM. The
course will be held at Ariba Headquarters, 807 11th Avenue, Building #2,
The presentations will include: a review of the CISSP examination,
recommended CISSP review books, studying recommendations, web sites of
interest, on-line quizzes, and test taking techniques. A domain expert will
individually mentor each of the 10 security disciplines covered on the CISSP
test. A CD-ROM of selected open source study material will be distributed,
which includes presentation material used in previous CISSP Review Classes.
A companion web site will also be available for participants.
The fee for the SV ISSA review sessions is only $50 for current ISSA members
and $80 for non-members. If a non-member wishes to join the ISSA and the SV
chapter, via the issa.org website at anytime prior to December 11, the SV
Chapter will refund $30 to the new member from the cost of the CISSP review
tuition. This is significantly less than you would pay a commercial vendor
for similar mentoring sessions.
Fifty people attended the Spring 2006 CISSP review session offered by the
chapter. Many have since taken the test and successfully passed.
In recognition of the support Ariba is providing our chapter by hosting the
class, the first ten (10) enrollments from Ariba will be free.
