[OWASP-Raleigh, NC] OWASP Triangle next steps

Hello all,

It's been a long time, and that's pretty much all my fault. Let me
explain a bit about that, because that will help you decide what you
want to do next.

I deal with a decent amount of ADD and social anxiety. It's not that I
haven't thought about this group at all, because I have every day. It's
that for various reasons our meetings slipped for a bit, and since then
I just haven't quite known how to face up to the task of getting it back
on track. I've written this email in my head pretty much every time
I've mown the lawn or done other similar mindless tasks since last July
or so, but have never quite been able to make myself send it.

This is something I've increasingly made myself deal with for the past
few years, and my work life is going well because I've mechanized ways
of keeping myself on track before things become too much for me to be
able to deal with. It's not something that stops me from doing most of
the things I want to well, I just have to design them in ways that keep
me accountable.

So with that in mind, I will give you all 3 choices on how to get this
going again, all of which are equally fine with me:

1) We can call for a volunteer/elect a new chapter leader who is better
at organizing.

2) If someone wants to rally the troops but leave me to deal with OWASP
proper, that's fine too.

3) If I keep this role, board meetings will have to be more mechanized,
something like one face to face and one online meeting per month on
alternate weeks, at least until meetings are off the ground. The more
scripted things are, the easier it is to fall back into the pattern when
things get pushed around for whatever reason.

I've heard from most of you in the past few months in one way or another
and know that most of are still interested in seeing this move forward.
If you could respond with how you would like to proceed with the
choices I've provided, some other option, or if you're just done with
this group, that would get us back on the right track. I'd like
consensus, but would take a simple majority of current board members.

Thank you all for your time and interest, especially those of you who
have contacted me in various ways recently.

Steve
