[Owasp-o2-platform] trouble running O2 demos : I really want this to work

Dinis has been through on his tour and spread the O2 fever.

I've installed O2 (v1.2 Beta) on a clean machine (Win XP, corporate image)
but am having trouble getting the WebGoat and HackmeBank demos to run.
Here is what I currently get:
- When I hit the "Demos" link on the bottom-left and the "WebGoat - BlackBox
Exploits" link at the top I get an hourglass and then "Execution Completed"
in green on the status line.

- When I hit the  "Demos" link on the bottom-left and the "HackmeBank -
Start WebServer" link above I get a message in red "compiliation failed".
