[Owasp-leaders] Local chapter meeting - expenses

Hello Chapter Leaders,

I have a question regarding how you handle expenses in your local chapters. I would like to say that I have read Chapter Leaders handbook so I know what is in there I’m rather asking for your personal experience and also double checking that the way we do it in Czech Republic is indeed OK.

In general I try to keep things as simple as possible and not complicate them more than necessary. Usually we do not request any funds/invoice/etc. from OWASP, but we pay for all necessary stuff (food, venue, etc.) on our own and then send the bill to sponsor, who send us the money. In case we have foreign speakers (which is very often) they pay flight tickets and accommodation on their own, then they request the money from one of our sponsors.

Is this approach OK? Do you have any recommendations?
