[Owasp-leaders] Advice on avoiding Doxing

Hello all,

I realize this question is off topic, but who better to ask than 1000+ cyber professionals? Can anyone offer advice of how best to “Harden” your online info? Someone I know is afraid that he may be “doxed” in the near future (personal and identifiable info released online, along with defamatory remarks), after attending a protest last week against certain hate groups we have in Canada. What priorities should someone take in protecting his and his family’s identities online? He read Crash Overrides tips, but was unsure how to prioritize the list and which ones to do. I am thinking I would tell him to read Violet Blue’s “A Smart Girls’ Guide to Online Privacy”.

Any advice would be welcome, thank you. Feel free to reply directly to me.
