The idea of a website redesign at owasp is not new.

2 year ago we set a task force and created this concept:

I encourage people to comment on this doc

Hugo Costas, OWASP graphic designer created these templates based on
multiple discussion with the members of the task force and other volunteers
involved in the wiki

Major issue and conclusions we found at that time:

   - If we redesign the landing web page and content we need volunteers
familiar with the content in order to re-structure and clean up outdated
content==>major work and we need volunteers willing to commit
   - We need a technical writer to help with the language and grammar, so
   content is re-written and updated
   - Maintaining new HTML/CSS pages: it will required the need for a
company with webdesign skills and none of the staff can maintain this as
opposed a simple wiki, thats was a major issue
   - Wiki should stay because the wiki format is easy for everyone to use
and maintain given the collaborative/content nature of OWASP which is
   driven by volunteers
   - We need a GAP analysis in order to understand the process of content
creation and cleaning it up and setup a proper process in place

Regards

Johanna
