To the OWASP Leaders List.

Many of you have noticed delivery delays with emails sent to our OWASP
Leaders list. This update is to reassure you that several of us on Staff
have been working on this for several days now.

In summary, Matt Tesauro has been digging into the email servers to
diagnose the problem, and it appears to be a form of 'attack' to clog our
email systems with bogus or bad email addresses.
For a sense of the scope of the problem, Matt's comment below:
*To give you an idea of the scope of this email attack, when I cleared out
the queue earlier today, there were 696,754 messages queued up. I couldn't
even get a list of files in the initial mail queue which tells me that
there were more then 2,097,152 queued messages as that's the max limit for
most Linux systems for the userspace stack*

Matt believes the attacker 'may be' reading Leaders list emails, and does
not wish to share some of the other specific blocking maneuvers he has
taken to fix this problem.

If you would like specific details, AND/or can volunteer to help Matt in
this effort, please reach out to him at our OWASP IT support address: IT
'dash' support at owasp dot org.

Best Regards, Paul Ritchie
