OWASP AppSecUSA 2016 is in Washington DC this year, if your looking for a
summary of all the WORK that the active community has been doing with
information assurance you may wish to review the following

https://interact.gsa.gov/sites/default/files/SSCA%20historical%20perspective%20Dec2015.pdf

As everyone takes a pause for the new year, reflecting on the past and with
aspirations for the future I believe this deck will provide everyone with a
useful perspective, note that OWASP Foundation is directly in the
discussion. This deck was made public on Dec 2nd 2016 at the Software
Supply Chain Assurance Working Group.

Do you have public information from other Governments, Industry,
Associations from around the world as we wrap up the year? This is a good
thread to add a link(s) to the chain to provide insight and information to
chew on for global project leaders and chapter leaders on this list.

In closing, Mr Joe Jarzombek was a big champion of OWASP Foundation has
been the driving force within the DHS effort as of 31-Dec has also
announced his retirement. I thank him for his concern and focus on
software security and support for OWASP Foundation. Drop him a line
directly at joe.jarzombek at hq.dhs.gov if you want to relay your appreciation
as well.

Semper Fi,

Tom Brennan
