[Owasp-leaders] Should OWASP projects (and in particular ZAP) aim to leave the OWASP nest?

Pretend for a moment there is no OWASP. What are the next steps for ZAP and
what do you ultimately want to achieve? How is OWASP helping or hindering
those goals? How would leaving OWASP help or hinder those goals?
