[Owasp-leaders] Growing Your Chapter + 90% / 10% Splits

OWASP Chapters are GROWING -- one way has been to experiment and use a
platform like MEET-UP that connects the regional area with others that
are looking for the same thing in a social way

Since we launched this as a experiment with the NYC Chapter we have
seen it grow to over 6k members and 38 groups... not bad IMHO.

Now that this experiment has had over (12) months WE need to determine
DO WE ALLOW IT and modify the policy in the chapter handbook see:

tell all chapters to go back to using the WIKI for chapter meeting
management

We (Board) have always asked operational staff to manage to POLICY so
as a community what do you think chapter leaders.

Another IMPORTANT update for chapters is the SPLIT - if you read the
meeting meetings you will find that there is another update coming to
you in 2015 that will be updated in the chapter handbook too
