[Owasp-leaders] The Community Vote

What an interesting idea...
Are members only eligible to vote?
Is a majority turnout required?
How do you track fraud/police the voting process?
Would this slow down the decision process?
If this took hold would we even need a board?
Can staff vote?
What about conflict of interest controls?
When we elect leaders we elect them to make decisions on our behalf. Why is this a better solution?

So, rather than voting myself for each topic that is up in the Global Board agenda, I will setup a Google Moderator (or similar) voting platform so that each member could vote and the majority gets the winning hand. I would then issue that vote in representation of the OWASP community. In case of a draw, I will ultimately pick the option that I see best fit for the organisation.
