As long as he’s not using it for commercial gain or doing something nefarious, its totally cool. I just had never heard of it.

What is wrong with letting someone create an app that teaches Top 10 for free!? We should support the guy not punish him! Where's the open source spirit?

Aaaaand this throws into mind the interesting idea of OWASP's need to have an easily presentable/readable mobile version of all of our articles and guidelines. Maybe we do need to develop a nice intuitive 'Mobile OWASP article reader' of sorts?

OWASP's homepage is not friendly to mobile browsers.

Hello Leaders,

I've contacted the author. He happens to be a very active contributor to several projects, and he let me know he created this app for a Microsoft competition some time ago. It is not an official project, and he can take it down from the store if necessary.

No one has contacted me regarding building such an app for the OWASP Top 10, so I’d call it suspicious at this point. Is there a way to contact the other to find out what/why/etc.?

Hi all,

quick question, is there a policy on applications which mention OWASP in their name in mobile or other application stores?

The reason I ask is that I noticed an application called "OWASP Top 10 Web Vulnerabilities" in the windows 8 app store http://www.windows8appstore.com/windows8apps/owasp-top-10-web-vulnerabilities/21878.html and wasn't sure if this is an official project or not.

That got me thinking about the other app stores, so I checked iTunes/Google Play/MS Windows phone 8 store but the only result for OWASP there was an app in iTunes/Google Play which looks like it was used for the AppSecEU conference in 2012...

Cheers

Rory
