We wanted to remind all of you who are planning on submitting a Call for
Training (CFT) for AppSec USA 2012 to do so ASAP.  The call closes at
midnight on this Friday, July 6th.

The deadline for the limited first-cut selections to the Call for Papers
(CFP) has now passed, but you still have an opportunity to get them in
before the final deadline of Friday, August 10.  We would love to have you
speak at OWASP AppSec USA 2012 in warm and sunny Austin, TX!

We are delighted to announce the official opening of the *OWASP AppSec USA
2012 Call for Training (CFT)* and *Call for Papers (CFP)*.  This year's
AppSec USA Conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency hotel in warm and
sunny Austin, Texas on October 23-24 (training) and 25-26 (conferece).  The
OWASP Austin Chapter will build upon the success and experience of past
AppSec USA Conferences as well our very own Lonestar Application Security
Conference (LASCON) to provide trainers and speakers with an unprecedented
conference experience.

*Call for Training (CFT)*
Want to present a training session at AppSecUSA?  Submit your training plan
for consideration.  Please carefully fill out the form completely to submit
your training proposal for consideration at OWASP AppSec USA 2012 in
Austin, TX.  The training will be held on October 23rd and 24th, 2012 at
the Hyatt Regency Hotel Downtown.  Training courses will be one (8 hours)
or two (16 hours) days.  We will post your Display Name, Biography,
Training Title, and Training Summary to the appsecusa.org site if your talk
is selected.  If you provide a URL or Twitter handle, we will post that if
your training is selected, too.  The deadline for this Call for Training is
July 6, 2012.  If your training is selected, we will contact you to
confirm, and need your completed Training Instructor Agreement before we
open your class for registration.  Trainers get a 40% cut of the training
revenue.  Price for trainees will be $1,500 (USD) for a 2-day training
course and $750 (USD) for a 1-day training course.  If you would like to
submit multiple training proposals, please make multiple separate form
submissions.  Trainers will receive one free admission (non-transferable)
to the conference in exchange for delivering a one or two day training

Want to be an official speaker at AppSecUSA?  You can join an A-list of
speakers at this year's conference including Michael Howard, Gene Kim,
Douglas Crockford, David Kennedy, Chris Nickerson, Jeremiah Grossman, Josh
Cormon, and many more.  The conference will be held on October 25th and
26th, 2012 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel Downtown.  Each selected speaker will
be expected to have a 45 minute presentation providing an objective review
of the topic being presented that does not contain any content that is a
sales or promotional pitch for any specific product(s) or company(ies).
Speakers will be selected by a panel of industry experts based on the
topic, presenter, and other various factors.  If your talk is selected, we
will contact you for confirmation of your acceptance of the OWASP Speaker
Agreement.  If you would like to submit multiple CFP proposals, please make
multiple separate CFP submissions.  Speakers will receive one free
admission (non-transferable) to AppSec USA 2012 in exchange for delivering
their talk at the conference.  The final deadline for AppSec USA 2012 CFP
submissions is Friday, August 10, 2012 with a limited number of first cut
selections being made after June 29, 2012.  Please use the following
