Ed can you give Sarah Baso (CCed) an intro to Charles so that she can invite
him to the Summit?
And if you want to donate, just go to the OWASP website (any page) and click
on the top banner :)

Dinis, Charles Brooks is a Boston-based security professional, dedicated to
the craft. I applaud him for his donation, mostly because he has been
unemployed for a spell yet still makes it to all the local events and
donates his personal time (and money) to causes like OWASP.
I will also personally donate $1,000 USD if that will help keep this
initiative afloat. I have to admit, I didn't get much visibility about the
campaign but am happy to contribute. What/how is the best way to do this?

As you can see by the email below, there were only 3 donations received from
the Ad campaign on the owasp.org website totalling a whopping $220 USD ($20
from Charles Brooks $100 from Tom and $100 USD)
I don't know what to say more that it was a massive failure, I'm very
disappointed/sad and I think there are important lessons to learn from this
(and yes I take responsibility for it since it was my idea in the first
place ( you can blame this failure on me))
My view is that we now need to pull the plug asap on this one, anybody
disagrees?
I'm not sure how much better we could had made the Ad campaign, but at least
we got some good 'a personal request by...' quotes
Btw, Who is Charles Brooks? We should get him to the Summit!

Hi Kate/Alison
Can you send me a list of the Summit donations we received from the
website's 'personal request' banner ad? At the moment I'm only aware of two
(mine and Tom's)
Please include name and amount,
thx
Dinis Cruz
