Dear leaders,

The OWASP Greek Chapter co-organizes AthCon 2011, an annual, European
two-day conference targeting particular areas of information security. It’s
aim: to bring leading information security experts together. Attacking
techniques of exploitation and various forms of penetration testing have
become an important component of any organisation. This conference aims to
provide a venue for understanding the ever evolving changes as well as new

Last year, AthCon was successfully organised on the 3rd of June, 2010 in
Athens, Greece. 18 highly regarded researchers from Greece and abroad
presented their latest research to an audience of IT decision makers,
researchers and hackers. 0day exploits were showcased highlighting the real
necessity for businesses to undertake  a hollistic approach to IT security
to counter the latest cutting edge threats to their infrastructures.

Preparations for AthCon 2011 have already begun and we promise to make this
years’ event bigger and better than before.

Below you can find the CFP/CFT. We are looking forward to your submissions
and of course, seeing you in Athens in June. Also, feel free to forward the
CFP to whoever you think might be interested.

The Call For Papers (CFP) for AthCon 2011 will only be open for a 40-day
window. The important dates are as follows:

    * 05/01/2011: CFP Opens
    * 15/02/2011: CFP Closes
    * 28/02/2011: Acceptance Notification
    * 5/03/2011: Conference Schedule Publication
    * 01/04/2011: Camera Ready Material

As AthCon is a single track conference this year, we are expecting fierce
competition. Thus, please plan early and follow the guidelines in this
section for your work to be considered for 2011.

All paper submissions are expected to be written in and will be reviewed in

You are welcome to submit material, regardless of your organisation. AthCon
welcomes cutting edge information security research from industry,
researchers, professionals, academics, government and the underground
security community.

Please note we are non-product, non-vendor biased security conference, and
do not accept vendor pitches.
