Sales pitches are VERY easily detected. I think we are over-complicating the matter. If an open
source project has a separate commercial offering, then that's what we have: an open source tool one
side, and a commercial offering on the side.
If the speaker keeps the commercial stuff 100% out of the talk, and if the tool gets interest, then
the users, if they want, might learn of those paid extras.
If we are gonna invite Dafydd, or anyone else, to talk about hybrid open/paid models for software,
then there should be other people as well and be targetted in a non-opensource talk, and that would,
indeed, still show openness and dettachment from vendorism.
