[Owasp-leaders] Security Stack Exchange

Several thoughts:

1. I spend a lot of time on the various stackoverflow.com sites and think that this idea absolutely rocks. The ability for us to spread infosec knowledge just grew by leaps and bounds. It is especially vital for those running various OWASP projects to participate.

2. Notice how stackoverflow sites don't use fugly registration process nor require an ID/password? I am of the believe that the OWASP community should evangelize the work of the identity community and this is one 'reference" example. Besides, I want to see Manico win the bet regarding passwords being dead in ten years :-)

3, I attempted to access the site but it requires a special token (invite). Could Jeff or someone else share?

Hi all,

Just in case people haven't seen this yet, the Stack Exchange proposal
for application security that Jeff created has gone into beta
recently. It got merged into a wider IT security site, but I think
it's still a potentially very useful resource. At the moment what's
needed to make it a success is for quality questions and answers to
get posted.

If anyone had committed to the proposal they should be able to
contribute now here http://security.stackexchange.com/ and when the
public beta goes live in 5 days everyone should be able to get access.

At the moment there's some OWASP specific questions that haven't got
good answers (incuding one on ESAPI) and a fair few web application
security questions as well.
