[Owasp-leaders] OWASP Marketing deck

Some thoughts on the OWASP marketing deck:
 

*	
	We need to move all the geeky statistical stuff like number of
projects, etc to the Appendix. What goes first is the answer to the
question: What's in it for me? We should break it out by if you are a
(a) developer (b) manager (c) executive (d) vendor , etc
*	
	We need to do something that shows support of logos from other
than vendors. For example, I know that many large corporations do their
part in providing meeting space for chapter meetings. Wouldn't a slide
that showed companies such as Bank of America, Paypal, Credit Suisse,
Sovereign Bank, The Hartford, etc give credibility?
*	
	How about a few profiles of OWASP members? A mugshot, a bio and
a quote as to why they are a member? (of course we shouldn't choose
OWASP members who look like they got hit in the face with a bag of
nickels)
*	
	Attending OWASP meetings is a way to earn continuing education
credits by many organizations. Shouldn't we amplify who supports us
(without endorsing)?
*	
	Can we get a slide we can call Touchpoints? OWASP isn't insular
and in fact, we can show outreach to other groups whether it is PCI or
the Cloud Security Alliance
*	
	What about the standards angle? Could OWASP be an alternative to
consortia
