[Owasp-leaders] Another take on certification

In order to become a Certified Scrum Master, all you have to do is take
a two-day course. The side effect of this type of certification is that
it helps immensely with evangelism. If the certification were more
rigorous, less people would have passed and therefore less evangelism
regarding Scrum would have occurred.

So, are we being too rigorous in the way we think about certification?
Could we define a certification that is 100% open that simply measures
awareness of web application security? Yes, my enterpriseyness is
showing, hopefully we can think outside the box as nothing would help
spread OWASP like wildfire except certification. We need millions of
mouthpieces. The key though is to get the title right and not have folks
think an OWASP ceritified person can save the world (or even walk and
chew gum at the same time)...
