The Internet was not created by Al Gore <grin> but rather in the late
50's early 60s by the U.S. Department of Defense we can all agree.

The OWASP Foundation (www.owasp.org) has been around for a while too..
since about 2001 actually. OWASP grows each day when someone uses the
world wide web searching for solution to a appsec question and finds
OWASP.ORG and learns what we have to offer as a international
vendor/government agnostic centralized resource.

Last week I had the honor of meeting with key members of The
Commission on Cybersecurity briefly for the 44th Presidency
-- Rep. Jim Langevin (D-R.I.)
-- Rep. Michael McCaul (Rep.-TX)
-- Lieutenant General Harry D. Raduege Jr. (USAF, Ret)
-- Marcus Sachs

Did you know that Application Security is #1 on the list. They also
are very aware SUPPORT what you have done with OWASP.

Have you seen the next draft of the US CyberAgenda for 2009 released
this month by The Commission on Cybersecurity for the 44th Presidency
of President-elect Barack Obama?

Get the new report here:

Now is a good time review this short document (96 pages) and comment
perhaps at your next local OWASP Chapter meeting see:
as we have proven, the wizdom of crowds always produces logical
results - just look at OWASP is structured
http://www.owasp.org/index.php/About_OWASP and what we have produced

Thank you in advance for your personal involvement in this
professional organization, supporting our ethics, principals and
mission "to make application security "visible," so that people and
organizations can make informed decisions about application security

Have a safe and happy new year in 2009... just watch where you "click" ;)
