European Extreme Blue Expo 2010:
Smarter Planet: Smart Work from Smart Cities

Summary of event :
IBM in Ireland is delighted to be hosting the European Extreme Blue Expo
2010. The expo will take place on 15 September at the IBM Software Lab in
Dublin, with the participation of European countries such as UK, Ireland,
France, Germany, Belgium, & Netherlands. The Extreme Blue programme is
IBM's premier internship program for top-notch students pursuing software
development degrees and is run in twelve IBM labs worldwide during the
summer, six of which are in Europe. The theme of this year's event is
"Smarter Planet: Smart Work From Smart Cities". Nineteen Extreme Blue
projects will be covering different Smarter Planet's "brands" such as Smart
Cities, Smart Energy, Smart Foods, Smart Transports, etc...

Resources), Dr Lisa Amini (Distinguished Engineer, Smarter Cities
Technology Centre Director, IBM,) Dr Constantin Gurdgiev (Head of

Business Value), Nancy Greco (Distinguished Engineer, Next Generation
Computing, IBM), John O'Donovan, (Chief Architect, BBC News and Sport
Interactive, BBC) and Nick Donofrio (IBM Fellow, Retired Executive, Vice
President, Innovation & Technology)
