Dear Eoin,

As you may already know, the 2nd OWASP Ibero-American Web Application
Security Conference (IBWAS'10) will be held in Lisbon (Portugal), on the
16th and 17th of December 2010. This event's organization follows a model
that will include one day of OWASP Training delivered by experienced OWASP
members on OWASP documents and/or tools (16th Dec) and one day of Conference
(17th Dec). Attendance to the conference will be free to anyone and any of
the modules will be free for OWASP members.

And so, on behalf of the IBWAS'10 Organization, I am inviting you to
participate in this event as an OWASP Trainer and to deliver a session both
at the OWASP Training Day and the Conference.

Your presence in this event would be particularly relevant, not only as an
experienced OWASP Leader and therefore an important contribute for the
training, but also as a Board member.

The reason I am saying this is because, taking into consideration the Summit
2011 to be held in February and the various Tracks that have been defined to
discuss what the Organization perceives as being its strategic goals for
2011, we thought that the OWASP Training day adjoined to the IBWAS'10
Conference would be a great opportunity to have a few lateral working
sessions (happening out of the Training and Conference schedules) where some
of these issues could be debated and pondered. We would also like to use
this occasion to share some thoughts and ideas on the OWASP Training model,
the Academies, the relationship between OWASP and the governments/its
organisms and OWASP and the Industry, etc.

Given the financial restrictions that we currently have only travelling,
accommodation and food for the duration of the event will be paid by the
Organization through a mix of funding that includes sponsorship gathered by
the Portuguese Chapter and different central OWASP funds.

Diplomata Tours, the agency working with us on this, has been instructed to
find the most reasonably priced package for flight and accommodation for
arrival on the 15th Dec and departure on the 17th or 18th, depending on
which alternative proves to be more beneficial for OWASP in terms of costs.

If you are interested in participating, as I sincerely hope you do, please
fill in the IBWAS'10 Training Day's Internals and Financials spreadsheet
below or, if easier for you, send me the relevant information so that I can
do it. You will find Diplomata's contact details on the spreadsheet so feel
free to contact them directly regarding flights and hotel arrangements.

I would also like to stress that due to various circumstances, we are
already very delayed on this process and your speediness in responding would
be much appreciated. We would really like to have you with us for this event
but, should you be unable to attend, we need to look for alternatives.

We are all looking forward to having your response to this invitation!

Many thanks,

Sandra
