[OWASP-ESAPI] Slightly OT: Need help w/ subversion and adding new file

I'm relatively new to subversion and have been doing most of the commits through
a Subversion Eclipse plugin (Subversive).

I tried selecting a new Java file corresponding to a new Java class and
right clicking on it, selecting 'Team-->Add to Version Control...' but
I get a window that pops up with nothing selected in it and the 'OK' button
is grayed out. And 'Team-->Commit...' gives an error about not yet being
in version control.

So how do I add a new file? (I've tried reading through a few tutorials,
but I don't have tons of copious spare time so any direct answers are welcome--
as long as their correct! :)
