Hello to OWASP Board List
As a follow-up to our Board resolution to engage Projects & Chapters in the
Budgeting process for 2016, here is the DRAFT Guidelines and Budget entry
sheet I plan to announce & introduce to the Community, no later than Nov. 2.

This is mostly FYI on our implementation plan, although suggestions are
always welcome.

Info & Guidelines for 2016 Budget Entry

*Background Info for Board*

   - Original Goal:  To encourage Community to "plan" their annual
   activities, and hopefully to encourage and increase their activities and
   use of OWASP Funds, effectively, to promote the OWASP Mission.
   - Timeline - Announcement, week of Nov. 2 of sooner.
   - Timeline - Conf. Calls Nov. 2 - 13
   - Due Date for Budgets by Nov. 30.

   - Only those with >$5K in Budget balance will be invited to create &
   submit a budget.  This is about 25 Chapters and 3 Projects.
   - I will be scheduling several teleconferences to describe the process
   and answer questions.  Multiple timezones will be considered.
   - Recall, this is an effort to have budgets created for their "existing
   cash balance budgets" only, not a request for new funding.
   - A list of 'normal, legitimate and pre-approved' expense items will be
   provided with the announcement & tools.
