To OWASP Leaders:

Many of you know that an office of the OWASP Foundation was set up as a
legal nonprofit in Belgium in 2011 called 'OWASP Europe'. One of its
primary goals is to facilitate European operations, specifically with a
Belgium bank account to minimize currency variations and to support our
numerous VAT filing requirements.

Several OWASP leaders including Sebastien Deleersnyder,, Eoin Kearny, Tom
Brennan and Tobias Gondrom have served on the OWASP Europe Board of
Directors since 2011.

*Now, we need to fill two vacant seats by January 1, 2016 since Seba and
Eoin* have declared that they need to step down from this role after
several years of service. Tobias Gondrom will remain as a Board member
for OWASP Europe in 2016.

If you are interested in a leadership role as a Board member on the OWASP
Europe legal entity, please send me your request and I will forward to the
Foundation's Board of Directors for consideration.

*Note*
1. We would like at least one of the vacant OWASP EU Board seats to be
filled by someone residing in Europe.
2. Most daily management and financial transactions are already handled by
the Foundation staff,
3. There is a requirement for 1 annual meeting of the OWASP EU board per
year...which can be easily handled during the AppSec EU meeting.
4. A process for appointing BoD members to OWASP Europe is outlined in
their bylaws found here.

If anyone has questions or would like to discuss this in further detail,
you are welcome to contact me directly. Seba is also very knowledgeable
about this issue and can help with any questions that may come up.

Best Regards, Paul Ritchie
