Hello: Seba asked me to forward this on to your attention in case you
didn't receive the original. Outlined below are two emails from Seba
noting that he plans to step down from his role as Lead Board member of the
OWASP-EU legal entity based in Belgium. Eoin has also sent notice that he
will be stepping down.
I can ensure we put this on the agenda for our Dec. 10 Board meeting, but
in the meantime, lets have some discussion about options and volunteers to
fill the roles previously handled by Seba & Eoin. Regards, Paul

Dear all, <from Seba, Nov. 30 >
only 1 month left to get this organised.
Legally you need 3 board members.
Who will replace Eoin and myself as director?
Preferably these board members should live in Belgium or Europe (for the
If you want I can ask people from the Belgium chapter if they are
I can then initiate the paperwork.
Who will be doing the bank transactions?
This person NEEDS to be able to present himself at a Belgian branch of the
Preferably you need 2 people doing the transactions: 1 person setting up &
signing the transaction.
A 2nd person that also signs the transaction.
I can recommend somebody in Belgium to take over the operational
administration if you are interested (she does similar work for BruCON).

During the last years I have spend countless volunteer hours on the OWASP
Europe legal entity.
- Lots of contract & paperwork
- All the financial transactions are currently done by me
- Following up on a lot of invoice / VAT questions
Alison (who has done a great job supporting me) and the rest of the staff
should be able to take over the operational workload from me in the coming
I resign from the OWASP Europe Legal entity as per 1-Jan-2015 and want the
legal address to be moved to a postal box that is controlled by the
accountant (or somewhere else per your decision).
I also want to be removed from the payment/invoicing workflows by then.
This means you need to find a replacement director by 1-Jan (Eoin and Jim
are still on the Europe board, but legally you need at least 3).
This also means you need to find a solution for initiating & authorising
the financial transactions: I suggest you take this up with KPMG.
I now want to focus my limited volunteer time on SAMM, not on operational
support for the OWASP Europe entity anymore.
Obviously I am available to support the transition process.
Best Regards, Paul Ritchie
