I’m OK with that. We used to charge more for people not attending the conference so I’m OK with a bump up for those just training, but not attending, which are relatively few.

Sorry, training fee 2010 was €990 for two days. We only had 2-day courses and I think that's a good choice. €990 is under the magic €1000 so if we raise it we might as well get some distance to the magic 1000. I'd go for €1199 for two days with €100 discount if they also register for the conference.

In Stockholm we had registration fees in Euros and sponsoring in USD. Why? Well, most Europeans are used to the Euro so it's an easy amount to relate to. Sponsors on the other hand want to feel that they get a "good deal" and since the USD has been down compared to the Euro we gave them that satisfying feeling.

This year's European registration fees:

§ Early-bird registration: €300

§ Regular registration: €350

§ OWASP individual member (not just chapter member): €300

§ Full-time students*: €225

* We need some kind of proof of your full-time student status.

I agree with Dave that we should raise the prices. So ...

§ Early-bird registration: €350

§ Regular registration: €400

§ OWASP individual member (not just chapter member): €350

§ Full-time students*: €225

Note that we got very few student registration so you don't need to worry about those.

   Regards, John

We haven’t raised our prices for several years now. I think it would be good for OWASP to raise the fees in 2011 by $50 for both the conference and the training. And if you want to offer slightly more aggressive early bird registration discounts for the conference that maybe match the current years discounts that’s fine with me as well.

I believe that would make the full fare conference fee $500 and training $1500 for 2 days, or $750 for 1 day.

Since John W. ran all these prices for OWASP Sweden I would suggest coordinating with him on the prices and what the discount levels and dates were for early registration.

I'd say from the last two years using the venue for OWASP Ireland, costs will be less than €25K

What is a good ticket price??

What is a good fee for training?

OK. That’s awesome then. So I think both sets of rooms would work for us so I would suggest you pick which dates would be most appealing to locals as well as the rest of Europe. The later dates have more room for classes which would be nice but other than that I think they are equivalent for our needs.

Eoin,

I defer to your judgment and understanding of how Bank Holidays affect Europeans. If you think being away from a bank holiday is really important, then we should do the later time, otherwise I personally prefer the earlier week.

In either case only having a room for 200 ‘might’ be a problem as we would expect more than 200 people to attend but not everyone crams into the keynotes and such so it may not be an issue.

Are there ANY rooms available for more than 200? Seems like the keynote room from last year was big enough. Was it bigger than 200?
