[Owasp-board] Mail routing for lists.owasp.org

Larry,

In preparation to moving the OWASP infrastructure to an external hosting
company, I've had a couple of the potential hosts as about mail routing.

I know OWASP uses Google Apps for @owasp.org addresses but mail routing
for the mail lists doesn't appear to go through the Google SMTP servers.

I looked at the SMTP headers for an OWASP Leaders email I received this
AM and noticed that mail from the lists is routed through ml1.lcasey.com
(66.255.82.5). I've posted the example headers to a Google doc here:
https://docs.google.com/document/pub?id=1MjYgYfrg6uIrtQ1TQVA2uEbkVj_8B9XFQcCoZLdbvQA

Resolving lcasey.com and ml1.lcasey.com:
$ host lcasey.com
lcasey.com has address 66.255.82.14
lcasey.com mail is handled by 10 ml1.lcasey.com.
$ host ml1.lcasey.com
ml1.lcasey.com has address 66.255.82.5

The IP addresses are within the range owned by Aspect Security:
http://whois.arin.net/rest/net/NET-66-255-82-0-1

So I'm wondering if this mail route was chosen because it was the
existing route for Aspect Security or for some other reason.

Also, do you know if Google Apps includes the ability to relay OWASP's
list mail through their servers? That would be the preferred routing
once we move to the hosted solution.

If you don't know if Google Apps will do that, I will be happy to
contact Google Apps support to determine if that is an option going forward.

Thanks.
