As I am not getting a response I assum this is ok.

The increase is not high and so far there are limited requests for travel coverage to the summit.

I'm i dont think so. Ireland has $380 which is earmarked already.
I am hoping EY will pay for me as I need to attend the townhall and chapter
lead meetings.

so: can we raise it to € 500 ?

I already noticed and asked Fabio to use those funds. I suppose he has to have the ok from Eoin for that?

He will pay his own hotel

Fabio is really active in the committee and the community and it would be great to have him in DC

hi Seba,

how are you? I'm doing some numbers here in order to get to Washington DC.

I would like to share the breakdown with you:

Flight 500 Euro (attached pdf)
Hotel 600 USD (3 nights at special rate)

As you could see this is way above the travel funds 'limit' authorized
to OWASP chapter leaders and committee members.

Unfortunately I cannot ask for travel expenses at work and neither to
my local chapter due to its current financial situation.

However, I would kindly ask the OWASP board to consider covering the
flight costs and I will cover the hotel costs myself.

By doing so, I will not only have to opportunity to network with other
OWASPers and security professionals but also progress some projects
related to the Global Education Committee. For example, we are
planning to develop a training and awareness portal with Mano, Kuai
and Cassio that will help developers to build more secure
applications. This OWASP event in Washington could be an excellent
opportunity to work with them for a couple of days towards achieving
this goal.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Thank you very much,
