I think this is fine. Lets go ahead and do this. Seba - can you update the
member offers page, or if you don't have permission, let me know what you
want us to put up there, and I'll do it.

Thanks, Dave

Any thoughts or Y/N on the question below?
They will also organize a GSSP exam.

OWASP Belgium has a good relationship with secappdev.
I propose to take them up on the
AND to mention them in the OWASP events calendar: this will provide a link
from the home page?

Dave, Jeff, Seba,

We listed OWASP as an affiliated organization when publicizing
secappdev 2006 and 2007. We would like to do so again for the 2008

secappdev is an non-profit organization, officially registered in
Belgium (http://www.ejustice.just.fgov.be/tsv_pdf/2006/03/31/06059210.pdf),
and dedicated to improving security awareness and skills in the
developer community. We organize a yearly public course for
experienced developers with K.U. Leuven, Solvay Business School and
L-SEC. 20% of places are reserved for graduate students.
We are addressing the same area as OWASP, but our focus is different.
Our scope is broader than web applications and our aim is to teach
secure software engineering techniques.
Several of our faculty and board are very active within OWASP.
Hence I think we are well-placed for a symbiotic relationship with OWASP.

My request is to announce the course on a web page where it will enjoy
a high visibility. I want to stress this point since secappdev 2007
was announced on a page that was not on a path of links that
originated on the OWASP home page. I doubt that anyone saw it. This is
in sharp contrast to the 2006 event that was featured on the home page
In return, we will list and link to OWASP as an affiliate organization
on every web page related to the 2008 course and offer paid-up OWASP
members a 10% discount on the course fees.

I hope this proposal meets with your approval. Please do not hesitate
to contact me if you need any further information.
