A while ago I tried to create a w3af live cd, I did some tests and
got it working (well... kind of...). After a few months of not being
able to do some actual work with the live cd, I finally had some
minutes to work with it, and guess what... I realized that I was
reinventing the wheel, and I hate that! Long story short, I found
Samurai Live CD [0] and it rocks. They have some other nice tools
bundled there, it has cool graphics, etc. From now on, Samurai Live CD
is going to be the official w3af live cd. You can download it here

I'm going to support w3af on that live cd, and if you find any
bugs, you can post them to the sourceforge bug tracking system of w3af
and they will be fixed in the live cd, and in the upstream version.

Andres over at the W3AF-Users just announced the official W3AF live CD from http://samurai.inguardians.com

This distribution includes webscarab and a number of great tools. If setting up your web testing box is a little too much to deal with, I suggest checking it out.
