[Global_industry_committee] OWASP Position Statements

Dear all

(I'm having an OWASP Friday afternoon...)

At AppSec EU09 there was some discussion (pre-beer) about other ways
to engage with industry, business and so on. Our work on responding
to other organisations' draft legislation, standards, etc is great,
but rather than being reactive, how about setting our own agenda a
little more?

A suggestion is to create our own OWASP Position Statements about web
appsec issues. They wouldn't necessary be overly long, and might be
topical subjects or refer to project work such as the ISWG's outputs.
So two initial ideas might be:

* Is Software Liability Part of the Solution [for Consumers] (ref

* Required Security Features in Web Browsers (ref
http://www.owasp.org/index.php/Category:Intrinsic_Security_Working_Group
)

What do you think?

Colin
