Hello Christian and Bunyamin,

I thank your answers which I’ve read carefully.

I’ve understood Christian’s arguments and if you ultimately think it would
be more appropriate if we set up a totally different project it will be

However, I think it would maybe be a good idea if we created an ‘umbrella’
project i.e. a wiki page called ModSecurit and put both ‘sub’-projects (the
PHP and the Java versions) inside of it. To better understand what I mean,
please glance at http://www.owasp.org/index.php/OWASP_JavaScript_Sandboxes
or at http://www.owasp.org/index.php/Category:OWASP_Enterprise_Security_API

If you both agreed with my suggestion, we could also consult with Ryan
Barnett, being carbon copied, to see whether or not he was available to put
his project under this ‘umbrella’.

Please drop me a line and let me know your thoughts.

Many thanks, best regards,

Paulo Coimbra,

Hi everyone!

I'm sorry to say, that I won't participate in Webekci.

Please read below for the reason.

Christian's projects about ModSecurity. We can work together because i
restarted to develop Webekci and i added some new features. If you could
join us i willl give you more information about the development of Webekci
and what will we do in the future. I think if we work on it for and around
one month we can release v2.

I've had a glance at Webekci a while ago and looked at the new version as
well. It's a really nice project!

There are - however - reasons which prevent me from participating. The
biggest one is my lack of experience with PHP coding.

For taking part in a project I'd expect myself to be able to contribute
high-quality code and this a I can't provide. Since 99% of all my code is in
Java I won't even be able to integrate anything I worked on until now.

I have used PHP in small projects before, but I am focused on Java
programming for a long term. This is where I can provide expertise.

Please, don't take this personal in any way. It has nothing todo with the
project or me not wanting to work with you. Coding in PHP is just completely
out of my focus/expertise.

@Bunyamin: Good luck with your exams!

Best regards,
