I'm newbie to ESAPI -and to Java as well (coming from .NET background)-. I'm
trying to run ESAPI in a Dynamic Web Project on Eclipse

Here is my environment

I'm using Eclipse Helios Service Release 1
JDK 1.6.0_03
ESAPI 2.0 rc10
Tomcat 7.0
Windows XP
I added .esapi folder in my User Directory and I added it to the classpath

I followed all the instructions on the "install guide" coming with ESAPI, *The
application runs just fine in Console application* but in Dynamic Web
Project I always receive this exception

org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to compile class for JSP: An error
occurred at line: 11 in the jsp file: /hope.jsp org.owasp.esapi.ESAPI cannot
be resolved to a type
8: </head>
9: <body>
10: Hello There
11: <%= org.owasp.esapi.ESAPI.encoder().encodeForHTML("Please Work") %>
12: </body>
13: </html>

I searched the archive of this user group and found similar questions I
tried the answer posted (the classpath issue) and it didn't work

I hope someone can help me

Thanks in Advance

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we
are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most
frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented, and fabulous?Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of
God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened
about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are
all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory
of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And
as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission
to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence
automatically liberates others." --Nelson Mandela--
