Hi Yvan,
to promote the organization I suggest to you to:
- Write to local mailing list of information security talking about OWASP.
- Write an article to an InfoSec local mag announcing the born of
OWASP-Winnipeg and describing OWASP projects.
- Try to contact local University to conduct a seminar about Web
Application Security and OWASP
- Try to contact local professional association like ISACA, ISSA,
CISSP... to organize a seminar to introduce OWASP. I've been in ISACA
Rome the last week and now I've received other 2 proposals: the 28
April I'll be in ISACA for a second session, the 18th May I'll be in
Milan next to the Computer Crime Club - SecurityNet.
I think there is a lot of interest about OWASP. I've make 80 slides to
illustrate OWASP, but only 16 are in english illustrating a case-study
of a web application vulnerability (you can find that at:
http://www.owasp.org/docroot/owasp/misc/OWASP-Italy-MMS-Spoofing.zip
and use it at the Meeting if you like it).
I hope this help.
Regards,
Mat
