FYI, Chuck has just released the next version of OWASP BWA. He's going to be
showing it at the Black Hat Arsenal presentations in Vegas. If there is
interest, we can get him to show it off at an upcoming OWASP DC meeting as

To: owaspbwa <owaspbwa at googlegroups.com>
I am happy to announce the release of OWASP Broken Web Applications
version 0.94 release candidate 3. It is available for download from
This release didn't have any major changes behind the scenes, but
has instead focused on adding applications. New applications include
Gruyere, Hackxor, WackoPicko, BodgeIt, TikiWiki, Joomla, Gallery2,
WebCalendar, AWStats, and ZAP-Wave. There are bug fixes and
improvements on existing applications as well (such as the addition of
some plugins for Wordpress).
I believe that this version is pretty stable and there are no
known issues. Of course, once some other people start working with
it, there could be issues discovered. If you do see anything wrong,
PLEASE either submit it to the issue tracker on Google Code (preferred
- https://code.google.com/p/owaspbwa/issues/list), email the group
here, or email me.
I plan to to do a "non-release candidate" 0.94 release in the next
week or so once people have kicked the tires a bit. I'll be demoing
the VM at Black Hat Arsenal in Vegas in a couple weeks, so 0.94 will
be out before then. If you are going to Black Hat, come by and say
Big thanks to Mike Cyr for adding most of the new applications to
this release and for the new and improved home page in the VM.
