OWASP Summit 2011 Team,

 

Please see below information regarding the Portuguese proposal for the
Summit 2011 event. 

 

Given the nature of the collected data, we couldn’t find an unequivocal
answer to the posed questions and consequently we couldn’t find a way to
accurately fill in the Google Form you have provided. As you will see,
prices will vary mainly depending on the event’s length, on the
accommodation’s type and on the participants’ global numbers.

 

Please also note that we are still waiting for a cost estimative of a single
room for us to use in the circumstance we end up with more than 50
participants which is the maximum combined capacity of the hotel’s villas.  

 

In addition, given the fast pace moving of the exchange rate that we are
currently facing, the requested values are given in Euros.

One meeting room for 100 people - 600 Euros per day

How many participants can the venue hold?

Quote given for 100 people, although the venue can hold 4 or 5 times more.

 

What is the Wifi capacity of the venue?

Although it was not precisely specified, we have been informed it is
regularly used without problems by groups of more than 100 people. 

 

How many persons can be held in the main meeting room?

-        100 people for 600 Euros per day

-        All in One option (4 rooms convertible into one big room for app.
400 people) – 2,700 Euros

 

How many breakout session rooms are provided?

4 with A/V equipment plus 7 without A/V equipment

 

Are each of the rooms equipped for multimedia presentations?

4 of them yes

§  Accommodation with breakfast on Villa with 3 bedrooms to be shared by 5
people or Villa with 2 bedrooms to be shared by 4 people

§  6 coffee breaks (2 for each working day)

·        Package B - 5 nights (4 working days) – 694 Euros per person

o   Includes:

§  Accommodation with breakfast on Villa with 3 bedrooms to be shared by 5
people or Villa with 2 bedrooms to be shared by 4 people

§  4 Lunches (food pack mentioned above)

§  8 coffee breaks (2 for each working day)

§  4 dinners (buffet)

Note 1: They have 2 Villas with 3 bedrooms where 10 people can be lodged and
10 Villas with 2 bedrooms where 40 people can be lodged.

Note 2: We have also been given the price of an optional package for those
who are paying their own expenses and may prefer to stay alone in a Studio:

·        Package C -  4 nights (3 working days) – 760 Euros per person

o   Includes:

§  Accommodation with breakfast on a Studio for 1 person.

§  3 Lunches (food pack mentioned above)

§  6 coffee breaks (2 for each working day)

§  3 dinners (buffet)

§  Arrival and departure transfers

 

·        Package D -  5 nights (4 working days) – 934 Euros per person

o   Includes:

§  Accommodation with breakfast on a Studio for 1 person.

§  4 Lunches (food pack mentioned above)

§  8 coffee breaks (2 for each working day)

§  4 dinners (buffet)

§  Arrival and departure transfers

What is the quality of the hotel?

5 star

 

What entertainment options are available?

Cascais (40 min walk from the hotel)

-        Downtown (late working restaurants and bars in esplanades), Marina
de Cascais (Docks with bars, disco bars and chic stores), Carcavelos beach
(10Km away from Cascais, Carcavelos's beach is a nice place to have a drink
with sand & sea on sight).

Lisbon (33 Km)

-        All sort of things you can expect in a European capital. 

 

Are there late night food options available?

Yes.
