Tracy,
We definitely missed the boat with the postings to the mailing list in
the past. It is something we noted last meeting and will certainly be
changing in 2011.
The board was created about a year ago based on my discretion as there
was nothing formalized prior. Check out the OWASP SD website
(http://www.owasp.org/index.php/SanDiego)
We have been trying to keep postings up-to-date there. The board, along
with some info about our last meeting, is posted. We've actually had
several meetings. We've been posting to Linked-In, sending out press
releases, asking patrons whom are @ the universities to spread the word,
etc.. Again, expect to see updates from now on posted on the list.
We are solidifying a meeting coming up soon- we are looking for speakers
and vendors if you know anyone interested & available!
The Sushi & Sake theme was something we internally came up with and it
has certainly been a hit with those who have attended.
Certainly expect to see an update, on the mailing list and elsewhere,
later this month, and certainly bring yourself along with some others to
enjoy sushi, sake, and a OWASP-SD T-Shirt!
