And Happy New Year 2010 too. The last activity on this list was myself and

Subject: [Owasp-sandiego] Activity?

Checking the archive I see that there was a job posting and a nullcon call for
papers since then also.

> The San Diego OWASP Chapter board is excited to announce several

There is a chapter board? Who does that consist of? Were there elections or
something? Is there another list where the activity is taking place? Have there
been any meetings in the last year and a half?

June? 5 months from now? Are there any sooner meetings planned?

> We intend to continue with our “Sushi & Sake Hacking Dojo” theme.

Never heard of this theme before. When did this theme begin? What activities
have happened along these lines so far?

> A few ways to expand the group are:
>
> 1- Blogging
> 2- Twitter
> 3- Peer Networking
> 4- University billboards and online forums
> 5- Other local associations who may align with our goals (ISSA, ISACA,
> HTCIA, 2600, etc.)
> 6- Facebook
> 7- Linked-In

8- Hold regular meetings and actually let people know about them. :)
9- Generate mailing list discussion traffic
10- Keep potential members informed of what is going on with the group

> To show our appreciation t-shirts will be given to anyone bringing at
> least 2 new guests with them to our event. The individual, and their
> guests, will all receive OWASP San Diego T-Shirts.

T-shirts? The group now has funding? How'd that happen? I would be happy to
bring guests as soon as I find out when/where it will be. :)

> Finally, we wish you a truly happy and prosperous New Year!

Likewise!
