[Owasp-leaders] Project status

Hi there,

time for a quick project update

Chapters

Taiwan chapter - has been initiated. Unclear if it has met yet.
Brisbane chapter - Justin Derry has proposed to start one, no further  
action known at this stage
Sydney chapter - no response at all from local members. Propose  
shutting this chapter down for now.

Infrastructure

Mail list migration seems complete. Has this been announced yet?
Forums and blogs have not yet been installed.
- DC thinks we should have seperate machines for each type of software
- AJV has this layout (but not seperate machines) for his forum  
(http://www.aussieveedubbers.com)
- Larry to update machine to cope with UltimaBB. Potentially, Larry  
to install both software
VoIP software still has not been installed. Larry to install on a  
Linux box.
Project incubator. Not yet scoped. No leader for this project yet.


OWASP Foundation

Membership pack will be complete next week at OSCON during down time  
there
LiveCD has progressed. AJV to ask US RAM suppliers for bulk USB key  
costs
Regular leadership meetings. Stalled. Needs VoIP software (see above)
OWASP Foundation transparency project. Not yet started. Requires  
membership pack in place
OWASP project templates project. Not yet started. Needs to create  
good quality Word, Powerpoint, and HTML CSS templates
OWASP old logos. Mark Curphey sent through the Adobe Illustrator  
originals for our original logos and some additional artwork


Priority Projects

Summer of code
- project plan not completed
- resourcing is not good

Stalled. No mail list. No clear leader on this project as yet. Need  
to rev it up before it becomes the "Autumn of code"

Certification
- project plan not completed
- resourcing is not good

Stalled. No posts this week (duh - no mail list :)

Guide
- project plan not recently updated
- resourcing is not good

Stalled, no posts this week.

Top 10
- project plan completed
- resourcing is encouraging

Stalled, only a few posts this week. Have action plan for AJV and  
Raoul Endres to go do some research in the next month. Need to talk  
to PCI about what they need.

Testing project
- project plan not completed
- resourcing is good, but project is quiet.

Other projects

Training project
- project plan not completed
- resourcing is not good

I have the slides for my Top 10 presentation for OSCON complete. I  
will donate these slides to OWASP soon - need to update them to be a  
bit more focussed.

PHP Project
- project plan not completed
- resourcing is not good

Had some (unproductive and rather unattractive) feedback from Stefan  
Esser. Revised slightly to incorporate (limited) feedback from a  
rather awful post to his blog. Stefan Esser, although somewhat  
skilled, is not a huge positive for the PHP project.

J2EE Project
- project plan not completed
- resourcing is not good

Mark Curphey sent the original J2EE SXW file to me. I had a Word  
derivative of that file, which Jeff had also worked on before me. I  
sent all three to the J2EE lists
