Hi all,

The Testing project has made measurable progress in the last couple of
months. About 12 people submitted contributions for specific sections of
the document, the latest draft of which is available in OpenOffice format
here: http://www.owasp.org/testing/TestingPeerReview0.6.sxw. This draft is
still very rough, however an initial peer review stage has just completed in
which many people within and outside the group have submitted feedback,
edits, criticisms, and suggestions. The OpenOffice format seems to be
fairly easy to work with and pretty accessible to most people wanting to
contribute. IT also has some filters for converting to Docbook and HTML.

The current Testing group is about 15 active contributors and editors, which
also includes a few late joiners who are bringing a fresh perspective to the
document's big picture.

I am currently compiling the next revision of this document based on
everyone's feedback, and am hoping to have something of quality to offer as
a public release draft before the end of the year. The exciting part of
this project is not only does there seem to be a lack of decent comparable
public material out there, but it seems it can be integrated really well
with WebGoat and the ASAC. Especially once the portal is up and running!
