SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR - INFORMATION ASSURANCE
Work in a collaborative team development environment, focusing on day-to-day security operation and maintenance of a Trusted Wide Area network. As a Systems Administrator [SA] you will work independently to ensure security, stability and integrity of a secure network for governmental customers.
Our client is a division of a large global company, with this division located in Texas. As the SA, your key objectives will include:
§ System Operations: Support the customer's needs and respond thoroughly and promptly to customer issues. Maintain the network to ensure smooth flow of information.
§ System Lifecycle: Develop a complete understanding of the network system and all security implications of actions within the system. Participate in management of the system lifecycle.
§ Installations: Define customer requirements for new installations and installations of additional or upgraded equipment, including pricing, installation and training.
§ System Set-Up: Load and configure software onto equipment for new sites and upgrades, including reviewing and complying with all security policies.
§ Internal Security: Work with Managers to ensure internal security at facility, including procedures to monitor the activities of fellow employees.
BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:
The ideal candidate will have the following education, work history, knowledge, and skills.
Education: BS Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Advanced degree is a plus.
Experience, knowledge and skills:
4+ years of security experience with classified DoD intelligence computer system security requirements.
§ Familiarity with Trusted Solaris is preferred.
§ Familiarity with Sun Solaris software and Sun hardware is highly desired.
§ Familiarity with general Unix OS functionality is essential.
§ Enterprise level Windows OS, exchange server, and terminal server configuration/deployment/ functionality is essential.
§ Experience in the SAP/SAR security arena is highly desirable.
§ Will perform work without appreciable direction. Will frequently interact with end-users/customers. Will periodically work in customer business spaces.
§ Must be able to travel 25 % of the time.
Citizenship, Clearance:
§ U.S. Top Secret security clearance required, with the ability to meet specific eligibility requirements for access to SCI and Special Access classified information. Consent to Counter-Intelligence polygraph is required. U.S. Citizenship is required.
