Dear OWASP leaders,

As you might know, OWASP GEC (Martin Knobloch) Academy Portal and
Hacking-Lab are providing free OWASP TOP 10 security challenges to the
community. It's a very promising project and the service is used by lot's
of people all over the globe. We are now proud to announce an upcoming
online OWASP competition using Hackademics Web Security Challenges (Thanks
Kostas) plus somes pice them up with more Hacking-Lab puzzles. The online
competition will start next Tuesday (May 1 2012) and ends June 17th, 2012.
The winner will gain a free ticket to the OWASP AppSec EU conference in
Athens (sponsored by Kostas and his team).



*Winner Election*

   1. how many points the participants receives
   2. how complete the solutions are (quality)
   3. how fast the solutions were completed (time)
   4. creativity, unseen solutions, geek factor

The OWASP GEC and HL has the right to select the winner in case of
identical a) to d) levels. OWASP teachers, HL volunteers, Compass Security
staff are not allowed to play. Sorry for that, folks.

Hacking-Lab is currently integrating WebGoat challenges into its arsenal of
remote security labs. This enables students and participants to collaborate
with others, have solutions evaluated by human being. The 18 new challenges
will become public short after the end of the AppSec EU competition.
