One of the discussions coming up for the Connections committee is going to
be on the subject of commercial conferences (this Tuesday¹s call probably).
In this case, do we want to have the same kind of relationship with a
commercial conference (in this case http://www.issdconference.com) as
organisations such as ISACA, ISC2, and SANS? In that case, we may well be
looking at some (carefully vetted) cross promotion in return for some quite
significant opportunities to put OWASP in front of a non-OWASP audience.
This is clearly something that will need consensus from the connections
committee before going to the Board, as these will no doubt be exceptions to
the rule, if done at all, but is something that we very definitely need to
look at if we¹re serious about outreach.
