This is an excellent idea , I would like also to recommend another way
to advertise OWASP and use sponsors membership,

we can give project prizes to Student projects in different
universities based on money given by sponsors.

OWASP Security Project Prize or something like that, usually this events
 take publicity and sponsors are happy to give money
