One of the worst practices of universities that we should attempt to avoid is the need to attempt to write code within the first couple of courses. I think we need to provide more of a conceptual foundation that aligns with a secure development lifecycle where code isn’t the thing you start with. How about the curriculum starting with Threat Modeling, Economics, Misuse/Abuse cases and so on…
